happy birthday family style

There is a long standing joke about all us ladies being sister wives.  It sort of evolved out of the strange happenstances when us with kids would go places; us being the ladies.  On average we seemed to manage one token husband per outing and thus the joke was born...
Well poor Andrew really stepped in it last night at Lovely La Dayna's birthday on the farm.  See when co-hosting an event BC is unpredictable as the UPR's work schedule (other missing husband) and the line up at a tattoo parlor on a Friday night (yet another husband lost to work).  Last night BC came home constructed the water blob then as the guests arrived he announced he was leaving to go surfing on the GSL.  This left Andrew in charge of the woman and children.  Got kids?
As predicted by Andrew himself, the water blob had a hole in it in 5 minutes (damn dogs).  What he hadn't counted on was having to be the man to fix it.
He was in good hands, we got wives!!!
Crystal helped with the repair, La Dayna kid wrangled, & I cracked jokes while documenting the whole thing...Welcome to the family! Didn't you used to be a single guys no kids sitting alone? Yeah, that's all over now buddy.
Yep, you the man Andrew...
who gets to sit next to the birthday girl while she opens presents!
Warning: Corn hole under construction
But BC did show back up.
And we had another brave man about the farm.
Turns out he is professional corn hole player.
Coach Wendy, the ninjas' coach also a birthday girl dropped in!
For her birthday she got a few little gifts
& a matching set of ninjas over night!
Say good night ninjas we will see you tomorrow.
(That baby thinks I shouldn't photograph her.)

Wow, that is a lot of people in my tiny house
we better take it back outside.
~The best part of life is when
your friends become family~
~Friends are the part of our family we get to choose~
~Friends are like your second family, only closer~
(I love that one!)
~There are the families that we are born into, and there are the families that we choose. While their faces may change over the course of our lives, the joy they bring us remains constant~
~Best friends are the siblings Nature forgot to give us~

My life is full of wild roses, sticky fingers,
bread I shouldn't eat, & orphaned beers.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
Happy Birthday to a Sister Wife.
