Me: I am starting Beach on school on Monday and since you guys will still be in town I need you to cooperate.

BC (sounding offended): What do we have to do?
Me: Well, I need you to keep the distractions to a minimum.
BC: Of course. But you always act like you can't do school if other people are around.  You need to just do it and not care what else is going on.  It's not as difficult as you make it.

[5 minutes later]

BC: Do you guys want to go float the Weber River on Monday?
Me: Do you remember me telling you we are starting school on Monday?
BC: School can't start on the river?
